The Gem of Sindri, Az Sindriznarrvel in Dwarvish, was a giant flameless lantern in the form of a teardrop. It was situated at the top of the bell tower of Bregan Hold, the ancestral home of Dûrgrimst Ingeitum. Blocks of granite were needed to hold it in place. It emitted golden light and was used in dwarven celebrations and as a warning beacon.
