The Organic Mass Energy Neutralizer shell, usually shortened to OMEN shell, was a special type of Imperial shell, developed about 129 ABY. It contained a special type of energy that disintegrated organic energy, which was useful in eradicating holed-up troops and neutralizing vehicles without critically damaging. Due to its power, it was made top-secret, and was only used during the Imperial war with the Galactic Federation of Free Alliances. Nonetheless, both GFFA and underworld forces obtained OMEN technology, although attempts to copy it usually resulted in shoddy knockoffs.
