Sinead Michael portrayed Sky Smith in series 5 The Sarah Jane Adventures. Born in 1998 and aged 12 at the time of filming her three stories in 2010, Michael has two distinctions: she is the first actor cast in an ongoing role in a Doctor Who-franchise series to be born after the broadcast of the 1996 TV movie and she is the youngest actor to date to appear on screen in such a capacity.
