Polina Astakhova was a gymnast who competed for the Soviet Union at the 1956, 1960 and 1964 Olympic games. Astakhova won a total of ten medals during her three Olympics. Astakhova helped the Soviet Union win the team title at each Olympics she attended. Astakhova died on August 6, 2005 at age 68.
