The species known as the Kadyr was first encountered in 14 ABY, and are native to the planet Kadiri Prime. They resemble felines, but are in fact closer related to rodents. They evolved from carnivorous rodents, but are not known for being particularly warlike. They prefer to speak Basic to non-Kadyr, as their own language is considered to be sacred. As a result, only a few and trusted non-Kadyr has ever been taught the language. The average Kadyr exhibits an above average strength, and shows a high resistance to Force powers to the point of being all but immune to mind control.
