The ORM1 is based on the second Jet King body style with a single-coil sized humbucker specially designed for this model in the bridge position. Another unique feature is the 24-inch scale clear-coated mahogany neck with the classic Ibanez 'tulip' headstock. A left-handed variant, the ORM1L, was also produced (Rodriguez-Lopez is himself left-handed). In 2008 the ORM1 was available in black only, but was offered only in white starting the following year.
