Jason and his wife Zoe were both scientists who had been evacuated to the island of Azura during the Locust War. Both Jason and Zoe felt guilty about having left millions behind to die on the mainland, but never spoke about it and stayed focused on their work. Eventually, the Locust took Azura, and Jason and Zoe were both killed by them.
