Zayner was a male Angosian who served as an aide to Prime Minister Nayrok in the 24th century. In 2366, he was present while the USS Enterprise-D toured Angosia III for potential Federation membership. He later had to ask for assistance from the Enterprise-D in capturing an escaped prisoner, Roga Danar, from the penal colony on their moon, Lunar V. (TNG: "The Hunted" ) Zayner was played by actor J. Michael Flynn. The spelling for his name comes from the episode's end credits; according to the script his name was spelled "Zaynar".
