The Cold War is the name often attributed to the geopolitical conflict between Germany and the British Union between the end of World War II in 1946 and the collapse of the UBPR in 1991. The Cold War featured an arms race between the two superpowers, attempts to influence satellite states (most notably in the Americas and Asia), and a sustained period of brinkmanship deep into the 1980's.
