Power Rangers: Powermax, is about 5 teenagers ranging from ages 13 to 15, who live in a world where there is no need for power rangers, because of the robotic copies of them called Robo-Rangers. One day, when a being of darkness called Xinex destroys all of the Robo-Rangers, the teens are teleported to a base called "The Core", by a couple: a man named Ben, and a woman named Jenny. The couple tell the teens that they have selected them, to wield awesome power if the Robo-Rangers were ever destroyed, and give them each a lightning bolt shaped morpher and told them that they were the next power rangers.
