The Umbrella Corporation, abreviated as Umbrella Co., is an organization formed several years after the collapse of the conglomerate of the same name. Their relationship is unknown, though both are known to have played roles in the development of bioweapons. Umbrella Co. is known to have a paramilitary arm made up of highly trained mercenaries, whose chief mission is to recover abandoned bioweapons research from the original Umbrella as well as eliminating troops loyal to rival bioweapon developers.
