Duke York, Jr. (1908-1952) played King Kala in the 1936 movie serial, Flash Gordon. York appeared in over 150 films and serials, often uncredited. His roles included Leopard Man in Terry and the Pirates (1940) and the Wolf Man opposite the Three Stooges in Idle Roomers (1944). He also appeared in three episodes of The Lone Ranger on television.
