[Source] Mark II Katarn-class commando armor was a type of armor worn by Republic Commandos during the Clone Wars and the successor to the Mark I armor. Based on recomendations by Omega Squad after the events on Qiilura, Mark II armor was hardened against EMP and was resistant to Verpine shatter gun rounds. Mark II armor was strong enough to withstand contact blast from a grenade.
