The stadium was designed and conceived by various architects in 1974 in an attempt to bring more sports to Oceana. However, funding was redirected to an attempt to remodel the Old Cricket Field as part of Lovia's bid to hold the 1980 Summer Olympics. In 1996, King Arthur III of Lovia, upon realizing that Donald Trump and The Trump Organization had bought the unfinished stadium, ordered both to finish it. The work was financed by ASBOL and Federal Foods with grants from the government.
