Berezniki (Finn. Peresniki, Russ. Березники) is a city within Uralica. Like Solikamsk, it is an important hub in both marble and wheat trades because of its location. One could argue that the two cities provide a "dual-core" approach to the provision of marble and wheat to trade partners. Since it is so close to Solikamsk, many people refer to the urban area as "Berezniki-Solikamsk," although there is a definitive, albeit small, gap in the urban areas. It is one of three major stops along highway UH-12, along with Solikamsk and Kungur.
