The Moldy Barroth is a subspecies of Barroth that resides in swampy areas. Instead of using mud like its cousin, the Moldy Barroth uses the algae-like substance found in its home as a means of defense and camouflage. The Moldy Barroth makes its first appearance in Monster Hunter: Wyvern Instincts.
