Ananya Mar was born in a small colony on Felucia. Her Zabrak mother and Human father were force sensitives, but never pursued training as either Sith or Jedi due to falling in love and knowing that joining either faction could cause problems with their relationship. After settling on Felucia, they had their daughter Ananya. Ananya was, like her parents, gifted in the force. Her parents could sense it and refused to give her up when a Jedi came seeking her. The Jedi left her alone when they found how much her parents disliked the idea of putting their daughter through the dangerous life of a Jedi.
