Gilbert the Gooey is a supersized version of a Gooey Goon (a slimy dangling enemy that swings itself like a pendulum attempting to hit Yoshi) Gilbert the Gooey is covered with multicolored slime spheres that Yoshi must eat or throw eggs at. Once all the slime spheres are gone, Gilbert the Gooey will explode. To reach the slime spheres on the higher parts of Gilbert the Gooey's body, you must use the mini springs that are located in the corners of the room.
