The Simpsons: The Frank Simpson Chronicles is a spinoff/prequel to The Simpsons. It focuses on the grandfather of Hiram Simpson, Frank Simpson. Every episode starts with the current Simpsons family sitting down on the couch and Homer reading a book telling a story of Frank Simpson. This series reveals at the end that Hiram (Frank's Grandson) and Virgil were actually long lost brothers due to Frank's son Dave cheated on his wife and secretly had a kid with a black woman, resulting in Virgil.
