The Olympics began with the Greeks, who played games in a style similar to the Olympics, eventually creating the Olympic Games (or Olympiad). The 1st Olympic Games (or Olympiad 1) were held in Athens, Greece (along with the 2004 Summer Olympics, which were Olympiad XXVIII).
