The Garu Garu is a massive, warm-blooded, reptilian-like organism native to Sanghelios. It boasts a substantial intelligence, and as such, it is commonly bred purely for hunting by Sangheili, and more recently Human, game hunters and trackers. It is worth noting that the Jiralhanae find the flavor of the Garu Garu's meat to be delightful, though one must "ignore the strong, musky aftertaste that looks in [one's] mouth."
