Bothawui was a planet in the Mid Rim and homeworld of the Bothans and the center of Bothan Space. Led by the Bothan Council, it originally supported the Galactic Republic during the Mezzilenic War but following the Battle of Kothlis and the election of Arf Fey'lya to the head of the Council, it joined the Jedi Coalition. It was also the scene of a battle later in the war but the Jedi Coalition emerged victorious again.
