A multirole is a military aircraft designed for fluid combat against both aerial and land targets. Multiroles in the Ace Combat series are notably balanced across all stats as compared to fighters or attackers. They typically feature less speed and mobility than fighters, but also have better defense and stability. Multiroles are capable of equipping both air-to-air and air-to-ground special weapons. In the Close Range Assault system, multiroles can perform both Dogfight Mode and Airstrike Mode.
