Iyris was one of the 3,000 Okeanides born to Okeanos & Tethys. Not much is known about her although she is mentioned in Fabulae by Hygineus when he writes "From Oceanus and Tethys [were born] the Oceanides--namely yaea, Melite, Ianthe, Admete, Stilbo, Pasiphae, Polyxo, Eurynome, Euagoreis, Rhodope, lyris, Clytia, Teschinoeno, Clitenneste, Metis, Menippe, Argia."[1]
