Lieutenant W. K. Davidson (UNSCMID 07729654) was an officer in the UNSC and a member of the UNSC Engineering Corps in 2492. That year, he led an archeological expedition to planet Onyx and surveyed it. He noted the rock structure of the planet as well as the fossil life found, and recommended a follow-up survey. His report was named ENGCORP Field Report A79052. The second survey discovered Forerunner artifacts on the surface of Onyx. Consequently, the planet was then siezed and classified by ONI.
