The Hlangry were a spacefaring race native to the Alpha or Beta Quadrants. The Hlangry built a large ship encountered by the USS da Vinci in 2376, which was dubbed by that crew as "The Beast". (SCE eBook: The Belly of the Beast) The Hlangry were encountered by Androssi Overseer Biron sometime prior to 2376. (SCE eBook: War Stories, Book 1) The Hlangry were not named in The Belly of the Beast, but first mentioned in War Stories.
