The treppok was a red-scaled fish native to the oceans of Baralou. They were known as peaceful creatures, and attacked only when cornered. The treppok was easily distinguished by the twelve fins that protruded from its body; six from its midsection, six on the creature's tail. The treppok's interlocking bone structure gave it a naturally strong skeleton. The Krikthasi used their skeletons to build their homes. The average treppok measured roughly thirty meters in length.
