The Lars family was a family of moisture farmers on Tatooine. Cliegg Lars and his first wife had one son, Owen Lars, and lived on the Lars homestead outside of the Anchorhead settlement. Cliegg Lars later married Shmi Skywalker and gained a stepson, Annikin Skywalker.
