Tythos was a star in the Tython system that was located within the galaxy's Deep Core region. The star was orbited by eleven planets, including Tython, the birthplace of the mystic Je'daii Order. Tythos appeared from space to be yellow-orange in color. More than a millennium after the year 36,453 BBY, the non–Force-sensitive settlers of Tython traveled toward the planet's sun and colonized the innermost planets of the star system. Tythos could be seen from the worlds of Tython and Shikaakwa on several occasions during the subsequent thousands of years, and by 25,793 BBY, the Je'daii Temple Master Kora Ryo had made a habit of meditating on Tython before the view of setting Tythos.
