Even though there's not terribly much here in terms of shelter, he decided on this place because it's far from Iacon and closer to Polyhex. Nobyl took it upon himself to decide his field station this close to Polyhex as he wants to investigate the Decepticon city and see if they were indeed the cause of the radiation.
