Protobatters are creatures with clubs that appear in Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story. They are located inside Pump Works. Protobatters attack by spitting out balls of batter, and hitting them with their club at the bros., which can be countered with a hammer. They also attack by slamming their clubs on the ground, which creates a shockwave that can be countered by jumping. A blue, and slightly more stronger variant known as Pwallop also appears in the game.
