In Greek mythology, Deioneus (Ancient Greek: Δηιονεύς) or Deion (Ancient Greek: Δηίων) is a name attributed to the following individuals: * Son of Aeolus, king of Phocis, and father of Cephalus, Actor, Aenetus, Phylacus, Nisus and Asterodia. * Father of Dia and father-in-law of Ixion to-be, Deioneus was pushed by him into a bed of flaming coals so that Ixion wouldn't have to pay the bride price. Also known as Eioneus. * Son of Eurytus the Oechalian. He married Perigune, daughter of Sinis, whose father was killed by Theseus. * One of the sons of Heracles and Megara.
