Paul Michael (1926 - 2011) was an actor on the original Dark Shadows television series. He played the role of gypsy leader, King Johnny Romano during the 1897 flashback. Paul Michael later returned to the franchise for a bit part in the 1970 MGM feature film, House of Dark Shadows. He played the part of an old fisherman who delivers a message to Jeff Clark at his studio, then lends Jeff a boat so that he can row out to St Eustace Island to save his girlfriend, Maggie Evans from the vampire, Barnabas Collins.
