Twisting is when a performer uses their arms and/or body to spin on the y axis. It can be done in a flip, vertically, or on any axis in between. Twisting is one of the most common aspects of tricking, and probably 90 percent of tricks contain some sort of twisting. Twisting can add difficulty and style to a trick. Examples of twisting are fulls (backflip 360), backside kicks, gyros, and butterfly twists. To twist, performers tighten their body (making it straight), and punch their arms in one direction or another.
