George Floyd (born December 21, 1960 in Tampa, Florida) was a safety who played three seasons in the National Football League for the New York Jets. Floyd was an All-American at Eastern Kentucky University. In 1999 he was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame. He is currently a principal at Boone County High School in Florence, Kentucky. Floyd was known Statewide for his vicious hard hits and knack for interceptions.
