Wendy Spampinato was a reporter for United Press Interstellar in the 2370s. In 2375, she was covering the Breen attack on San Francisco from the city. When she tried handing off the reporting to the news center she couldn't reach them and believed it was attacked forcing her to send it to the Los Angeles office. As the transmission stopped she could be heard shouting for her husband. (TNG short story: "Eleven Hours Out")
