Prince Don Giuseppe Sayd was a son of Prince (Shahzada) Nicola Sayd and Princess (Shahzadi) Angela Sayd del Burgo la Barba. In 1543, Prince Don Giuseppe Sayd first married Miss Bernardina Bonici, daughter of Giacomo and Entonia Bonici, in Città Rohan, before Notary Brandino Caxaro. Later, he secondly married Miss Margaret Borg. He was a patrilineal descendant of Sultan Mehmed II of Turkey through the latter's son, Cem Sultan.
