The Imperial provisional government was an institution established by several high ranking officials and Imperial Military officers after the final death of Emperor Palpatine in 11 ABY. The effort was started Dark Side Elite and former Imperial Inquisitor, Vaso Tamaz. He organized a provisional government to consolidate the power of Palpatine's Dark Empire and keep it from collapsing, like it's predecessor. He held the position of Minister Chairman for two weeks, and then resigned. Other bureaucrats held the position for several months until a military coup d'état was carried out by some admirals and generals, deeming the political leaders to be incompetent.
