[Source] The dire vibroblade was a larger version of the standard vibroblade which made it easier to wield with two hands for greater striking power. As in all vibroweapons, it used ultrasonic vibrations to increase cutting effectiveness. It came into service during the Great Sith War and was used by the Mandalorian marauders. The weapon was used several millennia later in the Legacy era as the primary weapon of the Aggressor-series battle droid.
