Valenthyne Farfalla was a Jedi Master in the waning days of the First Republic, and was alive to witness the Ruusan Reformation that formed the Galactic Republic. Farfalla was one of the leaders of the Jedi Order during the war with the Sith. He was reported to be the Jedi who slew Darth Ruin, founder of the Sith. Farfalla was killed when he hunted down Darth Bane, the last surviving Sith Lord.
