The Neev were a bipedal reptilian species who at one point inhabited the planet Oceanus. They built several outposts on Oceanus' islands but left when the planet's volcanoes became active. It is thought that they were later killed by the Covenant Empire for refusing to submit to their authority and embrace their religion. All known remains were destroyed during the Battle of Oceanus between UNSC and Covenant forces.
