Colonel Salazar was a descendant of the Malenque tribe and brother to Dr. Salazar. He was a policeman which gave him an opportunity to keep a close eye on things for his brother. It was he who found the Malenque mummies which his brother used in his experiments. When his brother stole Dr. Quest's helicopter, Colonel Salazar attempted to hold off Race Bannon with a gun, but Bandit bit the officer's arm. race knocked Salazar out, commenting Bandit might need a rabies shot.
