Sooth-Sisters were the shryke priestesses of the Golden Nest. Sooth-Sisters permitted themselves to gaze only upon the clutch of eggs in the Golden Nest, at all other times wearing black-tinted glasses so that they were blinded to impure sights. They also wore distinct black robes and hats. The penalty for impersonating a Sooth-Sister was to be roasted alive on a spit in the Central Market of the Eastern Roost.
