Doctor Victor Von Doom rules the country of Latveria with an iron fist. He harbors a deep hatred for the Fantastic Four, especially Reed Richards. His mother's soul was taken by Mephisto when he was very young, and he tried to create a machine that would free her from the demon's realm. Reed pointed out a flaw in the machine, but the arrogant Doom activated it anyway. The explosion scarred Doom's face, and he built an iron mask to hide it. He later built an entire suit of armor, which he used in his selfish scemes. He is a prominent antogonist in the Marvel Universe, and has fought most of the big heroes, including Spider-Man, The Fantastic Four, The Avengers, and more.
