The Strategic Defense Initiative (SDI), also called "Star Wars", was an anti-ballistic missile program. It was supposed to use ground-based and space-based systems to protect the United States from attack by strategic nuclear ballistic missiles. In The Colonel, Colonel Rennhull told Philip that the program was unrealistic.
