The Dunwoody Home for the Incurably Cursed is a place where witches and wizards afflicted with incurable curses are tended. The author Jerwig Findlewell is said to be in the Home's care, having suffered some unknown curse by the wand of Abraham Thorn, who was angered that Findlewell had written too much information about the Thorn Family in his sensationalistic book The Darkness That Threatens Us All!.
