Jared Jay DeVries /dɨˈvriːz/ (born June 11, 1976) is a former American college and professional football player who was a defensive end in the National Football League (NFL) for ten seasons. He played college football for the University of Iowa, and earned All-American honors. He was drafted by the Detroit Lions in the third round of the 1999 NFL Draft, and played his entire professional career for the Lions. He is currently an assistant coach for the Clear Lake High School high school football team.
