Danny Woodards joined Rovers from Milton Keynes Dons in late August 2011, shortly after the start of the 2011–12 season. After a busy summer break that saw a great deal of transfer activity, the defender became manager Paul Buckle's sixteenth signing since taking charge of the club's affairs just two months earlier.
