My Little Pony Friends is a song originally written as the end title for My Little Pony Equestria Girls but was passed over in favor of A Friend for Life. It was originally posted on Hasbro's YouTube page on August 12, 2014, and uses footage from Equestria Girls, as well as lyrics and melody from the show's theme song. Composer Daniel Ingram notes that, in Hasbro's original YouTube video, the vocals were out of sync with the music. Just two days later, on August 14, the original out-of-sync version was deleted hours before the corrected version was uploaded and published. It is sung from the point of view of Twilight Sparkle.
