The shockwave generator was a crude sonic device created by the ancient Mandalorian Crusaders. It created an intense sonic wave that would tear apart a target that was hit by the energy created from the device. On many Basilisk war droids, the nose of the droid was composed of a cluster of shockwave generator rods. When fired, the rods combined their charges to release a plasma burst capable of puncturing a starship's hull.
